April showers bring… a plethora of automatic qualifying event champions one step closer to the World Food Champ title. Congratulations to the champions from the following April events:

BBQ

KCBS  Char-Broil Pig Bowl - 4/27/2013

The Bash on the Banks will take place on April 26th & 27th down on Bay Street, in Columbus, GA. The 6th annual Char-Broil Pig Bowl will again headline the event! On Friday evening, the popular "People's Choice" gives the public an opportunity to savor the flavor of the Championship BBQ and vote for their favorite. Saturday will be the KCBS Char-Broil Pig Bowl and the WLTZ 38 Best Burger Competition. With over $12,000 cash and prizes its and a trip to Las Vegas in stake its sure to be an amazing weekend.

PNWBA         Washington State Spring BBQ Championship - 4/28/2013

The Washington State Spring BBQ Championship, sponsored by Monroe Fireplace and Stove & Speedway Chevrolet, is held annually in conjunction with the Evergreen State Spring Festival located at the Evergreen State Fairgrounds in Monroe, Washington. Saturday activities include CASI and homestyle chili cook-offs and the popular People’s Choice category. Proceeds from the People’s Choice category go to support youth wrestling at Bad Draw Wrestling Club.
