Chopin Vodka Becomes First Official Spirit Sponsor of World Food Championships

Chopin Potato Vodka has been named the Official Vodka of the World Food Championships set for Nov. 3-10 in Kissimmee, Fla, according to Mike McCloud, CEO of the World Food Championships.

“As the official vodka, Chopin Vodka has earned an anchor position in our event, one that will be prominently integrated into our tournament, mixology offerings, pairings and tastings throughout our footprint and our many activations at the 2015 World Food Championships,” McCloud explained.

The World Food Championships and Chopin Vodka share similar pioneering spirits.  The World Food Championships created a new forum for passionate chefs to show off their talents, while Tad Dorda, Owner of Chopin Vodka, charted new territory by bringing his authentic family owned luxury Polish Potato vodka to a worldwide audience. Introduced in 1997 Chopin Potato vodka has become the best distributed potato vodka in the United States through its emphasis on family ownership, farm to bottle, gluten free and single ingredient attributes.

“I’m excited that dedicated food enthusiasts and their fans will have this unique opportunity at the 2015 World Food Championships to appreciate Chopin Potato Vodka,” Dorda said. “It has a complex, singular taste with many subtleties because it is made from natural Podlasie potatoes grown in one of the most pristine agricultural areas of Poland.”

Grown in an area of Eastern Poland between Warsaw and Belarus, the Podlasie (pronounced “po-lashie”) potato base gives Chopin Vodka a creamy taste and makes the vodka naturally gluten free. The Dorda family chooses farmers who grow the potatoes in small lots where only natural methods are used for fertilizing and harvesting. The potatoes are picked in late September, washed, cooked, fermented and distilled all in one location.  In fact, it takes approximately seven pounds or 40 potatoes to craft one bottle of Chopin Potato vodka.

It is that attention to detail that also compliments the effort of food enthusiast entrants in the 2015 World Food Championship.

“This is an important moment for WFC,” said McCloud. “As we open up the cocktails and spirit side of the world’s largest food tournament, premier brands like Chopin will play a very significant role in what we do from now on.”

About Chopin Vodka

Chopin Vodka, the leading artisanal craft distiller from Poland, has won recognition for their family of brands with a focus on single ingredient vodkas. One of the few vodka producers to make their own spirits at the family distillery in Podlasie, Poland, Chopin is owned by Tad Dorda, a spirits entrepreneur, who was a pioneer in the craft vodka movement worldwide. Each bottle contains only three ingredients – the highest-quality, naturally grown potato, rye or wheat, yeast and purified artesian well water. Available in Chopin Potato, Chopin Rye and Chopin Wheat, Chopin also offers a limited edition line of SINGLE, once-distilled vodkas, and DORDA Double Chocolate Liqueur in the U.S. market.
